Privacy policy
Effective [DATE]. Operated by [LEGAL BUSINESS NAME], [ADDRESS].
What we collect
- Account details: your email, name and a scrambled (hashed) version of your password.
- Your library: the photos you scan and the band, album, location and notes you save.
- Billing: your plan and subscription status. Card details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store them.
- Usage: how many AI scans you've used this month, so we can apply your plan's limits.
Who helps us run the service
- Stripe processes payments.
- Anthropic (Claude) reads photos you choose to read with AI. Photos are sent only for that reading.
- Discogs receives band, album and movie names and barcode numbers to look up titles, values and release links. No personal details are sent.
- eBay and UPCitemdb receive titles and barcode numbers to look up prices and titles. No personal details are sent.
- Railway hosts the app and stores the data.
What we don't do
Photos you add to your tapes may be shared with other users in the shared photo library (see the Terms). Only the photo and the tape's title are shown, never who added it.
Unless you turn it off (Account › Trading), other collectors can see the titles of your loose J-cards and cassettes and your display name, never your email or the rest of your library. Messages are visible to you and the person you write to; an admin reads a conversation only if it's reported.
Your public page is off until you turn it on (Account › Your public page). When it's on, anyone with the link sees your display name, your page text and links, your complete items with their spine and cover photos, and the titles of your loose items. Values, locations and notes are never shown.
When you save an item with a barcode, the barcode and its title (never who saved it) help other collectors look up the same barcode.
We don't sell your data or show ads. Location data (GPS) is removed from photos when you upload them.
Your choices
You can download your library as a spreadsheet and permanently delete your account and photos at any time from the Account page.
